When should you clean the filter?

LG advises checking the inner and outer filters and removing lint before and after use. Lint can restrict airflow and lengthen drying. Check the filter after taking out the clothes.

Keep small pieces of fabric and dust from falling below the filter fitting when removing or reinstalling it. Removal differs by model; consult the manual if you cannot locate the handle.

Can you reinstall a filter immediately after washing?

Remove larger lint by hand or with a vacuum first. LG advises using running water and a toothbrush for heavily soiled filters, then drying them completely before assembly. A damp filter can cause odors; check that it is fully dry rather than setting a universal drying time.

Close the dry filter and align the inner and outer filter grooves. Incorrect assembly can prevent operation. Check both sides are closed before trying to push it into place.

When does a reminder need an inspection?

Startup filter and tank reminders prompt checks before use. LG says course selection or a confirmation button clears them, depending on the model. Complete the checks and follow your model's controls.

Treat the same reminder during operation differently. Record its wording and timing and ask LG support for an inspection. WashTower and drain-hose models have different tank-check conditions, so mention your drainage setup.
